Liza and Lars

Liza: Born and grew up in Semadang village, a small Bidayuh village about 15 min away from their jungle home.

Went to Canada as a teenager, spent a few years there before she started to travel around the world. Met Lars and traveled together to Oslo, Norway where they stayed for many years. Loves cooking, jungle trekking, biking and swimming. Liza is open by nature and have a nice 24hours smile. It’s delighted to have Liza as a host.

Lars: Born and grew up in Oslo, Norway.

Lived a rather normal life before he found out the thrill around traveling. With biology as a favorite topic he went to Borneo’s rain forest twice trying to explore the jungle and its inhabitants. He met Liza and moved back home, were they both worked hard to finance their dream: Kurakura Homestay. Lars have a huge interest in the local wildlife, mountain biking, jungle trekking and traveling.
